Color Spotlight: Uba Tuba Granite
Uba Tuba granite is quarried in Brazil. It is a primarily dark green stone made up of flecks of lighter green, black, gold, brown, white, and even turquoise blue.Although in some lighting Uba Tuba countertops look dark or even black, depending on the amount of flecks in each slab,it is actually a dark green color. This stone has a uniform grained surface with very little veining in it. The pattern consists mainly of small flecks of colors.
Uba Tuba’s color can vary from slab to slab and even within one slab. The stone may appear lighter or darker and with more or less of various colors. Uba Tuba can be found with different names, usually depending on the dominant color variations. For example, stones marked “Verde” or “Green” typically have more a greener color than other just Uba Tuba. In a room with a lot of natural light, you will be able to see the sparkle of the different colored minerals in the countertops.
